After the date, I walked her to her car. We had a very nice embrace. And as she drove away, I was already planning our next date. I didn’t want to wait to for Rugby World Cup as that was over a month away. I tried to set something up for the following weekend, but she was busy. Then the following week she was in France. I could see where this was going. I reached out a couple more times, but then I got a message that she had met somebody else. I wished her the best, and continued my search.

A month later I was watching Rugby World Cup by myself. Ireland barely got through their Pool and got crushed by New Zealand in the knockout phase. Hopefully it will be Ireland’s turn to shine in 2023. Maybe mine too.
