First Date #29 was with an Irish woman living in Kilkenny. I was introduced to her through a mutual friend. I reiterated on Monday that I’m not very good at instigating a date with people I know in real life. But I had heard from a little birdie that FirstDate29 might fancy me. So, I reached out and invited her to lunch at a local café.

I knew that she was a smoker, and while that had previously been an absolute deal-breaker, I have tried to restrict deal-breakers to terrible personality traits (like being a Trump supporter, gun nut or religious whacko). If I’m lucky enough to lean in for a kiss with a woman that seems pretty cool, I’ll then decide if it actually is a deal-breaker or not. 😘
